BookBuilder Professional - BBPRO001 Product Description BookBuilder Professional gives you a suite of programs you can use to create electronic books for use with the following current versions of Laridian products (each sold separately):
You'll have access to the same techniques and tools used in-house by Laridian to create books for the PocketBible and MyBible programs! BookBuilder Professional provides complete documentation on specific HTML codes you need to use for preparing your text file for publication (called tagging). The VerseLinker program will assist you in tagging Bible verses contained in your file. When your tagging is complete, simply run the BookBuilder program to create a file that can be read by the Laridian program(s) you specify. If you tag the book for PocketBible 2.x, we've included a tool, TagConverter, that will convert your PocketBible 2.x book into the new tagging format used by PocketBible 3 and later and MyBible 4 and later. Finally, you can use BookSetupBuilder to create a self-installing file of your book that is ready for distribution. BookBuilder Professional is required if you plan to sell or otherwise widely distribute your books or if you would like to make it available for use on iPhone or iPod Touch (we will host your .lbk on our server). If you plan to create books for your own personal use (other than for iPhone or iPod Touch) then you should consider buying the less expensive BookBuilder Standard program. On the other hand, the advantage of owning the Professional edition even when creating books just for your own use is that it includes the VerseLinker tool for easy Bible reference linking. Note: The programs and User's Guide included with BookBuilder Professional are run from your Windows PC, not your PDA.
BookBuilder Professional requires a desktop PC running Microsoft Windows 95 or later and approximately 13.7MB of hard drive space (for full install). Download size is approximately 6.5MB. You need a copy of the PocketBible or MyBible program (each sold separately) to view books you create with the BookBuilder. NOTE: Copyright law applies to anything you publish using the BookBuilder. It is your responsibility to determine the copyright status of the books you publish with BookBuilder, and what rights you have with respect to reproducing, viewing, and distributing those books. More information regarding copyright is included in the BookBuilder User's Guide.
